Mysterious Trails has been a prolific four-year journey for David & Marta. The drive to produce outdoor walking adventures that could bring together people from all walks of life, including families, business teams and student groups, to work together in the great outdoors to solve a historical local murder mystery, spy or lost treasure story, has been a labour of love for the whole family.

As a former lecturer at Preston College, former marketing manager for UCI Cinemas, former boxer, coach and lifelong graphic designer, David has seen first-hand the benefits of visual stimuli and fresh air on people of all ages, particularly students in education. Now he is looking to combine his love of outdoors and his experiences as a teacher and graphic designer to engage both young and older people with a fitness for all, outdoor trails experience.

Mysterious Trails have received outstanding reviews from hundreds of people of all ages, from 6 to 76! Schools, businesses, further education and University students have all contributed to perfecting the current Mysterious Trails video-led format.

Now, after many years of continuous research, product trials, constant design improvements and new video productions, the couple have launched Mysterious Trails – an immersive, self-guided clue trail experience that is growing very quickly, from right here in the beautiful North-West.

David says he ‘now has the enviable task of trying to keep up with ever-expanding demand for his high quality trails’, and is out at least twice a week, building new and exciting Mysterious Trails. So keep your eyes peeled for more of the trails over the years as they expand organically!
